Jeremy Blank is the Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Community Fund, a global investment firm focused on high quality public and private companies. From 2005 to 2020, Jeremy was a Partner at York Capital Management, a $15 billion global investment fund. At York, Jeremy helped to build the firm’s global credit and private equity businesses across the USA, Europe and Israel. As an investor and Board member, Jeremy drove strategic progress at companies including Enovix and Arq in the USA, Brass Monier in Europe, and Insightec and Gilat in Israel. Jeremy played an important role is helping to develop Israel’s capital markets by transforming Psagot Investment House into Israel’s largest mutual fund and retirement savings manager. During the global financial crisis, Jeremy also led York’s rescue equity injection transaction which strengthened Bank Hapoalim, Israel’s largest bank. In 2014, Jeremy led the well-publicized debt restructuring of Israel’s largest conglomerate, IDB, a company which once accounted for 10% of Israel’s GDP. In 2021, Jeremy led the firm’s takeover and recapitalization of the Waldorf Astoria Jerusalem hotel. Prior to joining York in 2005, Jeremy worked at Morgan Stanley as a Vice President, credit analyst and an investment banker. Jeremy is a member of the Board of Directors of Arq Inc, Insightec Ltd and Waldorf Astoria Jerusalem. Jeremy holds a BS in Finance and an AA in Bible from Yeshiva University in New York.
