Matt Harris is one of five founding partners of Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP). GIP is recognized as one of the world’s leading infrastructure asset managers, investing globally in the energy, transportation, water and waste and digital infrastructure sectors. As part of the executive leadership team at GIP since the firm was started in 2006, Matt has been intimately involved in all of GIP’s investment, management and strategic activities. Matt has championed GIP’s forward-leaning approach to growth and innovation leading the firm’s entry into new markets including infrastructure in developing countries and new energies infrastructure critical to global decarbonization and the energy transition. Before founding Global Infrastructure Partners, he was the Co-Head of the Global Energy Group at Credit Suisse First Boston. Beyond this role, Harris is the Chairman of the Board of EnLink Midstream, a member of the board of GE Vernova, Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Columbia University Center for Global Energy Policy and a member of the Columbia University Climate School Advisory Board and the UCLA College of Social Sciences Dean’s Advisory Board. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Pioneer Works and the World Wildlife Fund. He earned his bachelor’s from the University of California, Los Angeles.
