Taufiq Rahim is a strategist, investor and writer focused on the intersection of global geopolitics and transformative technology. He prepares and enables leaders and institutions to capture opportunity in a time of rising challenge. Over the last two decades, Taufiq has driven investment, convened conversations and brought together public and private partnerships to tackle the most pertinent global issues across four continents, from disruptive technology and economic development to geopolitics and global health. In addition to his geopolitical advisory work, he is building 2040 Ventures, a global platform with a strong belief in the transformative power of the technology of decentralization. Taufiq is a Senior Fellow for the International Security Program at New America and aFellow at the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government. He has previously worked with McKinsey & Company, the Aga Khan Foundation, and the United Nations, and was the founder of Globesight, a global development firm, instrumental in catalyzing over $3 billion in impact capital across the Global East and West. Taufiq received a master’s in public policy from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and his A.B. from Princeton University. He is regularly cited by leading publications, including the Financial Times, CNN, Bloomberg, Washington Post, New York Times, CNBC, among others.
