Tom Soto is a seasoned impact investor and the Founder of Latimer Partners, LLC, a family investment office. Having owned and managed four impact private equity funds Tom has been a pioneer in the climate tech investment sector and is a leading national voice on investing in an era of climate change. Born and raised in East LA County, he is deeply committed to environmental advocacy and has made significant contributions to climate change initiatives, including Clean Air Act Standards. With a career marked by leadership roles, Mr. Soto has chaired the New America Alliance, co-founded the LA Clean Tech Incubator, and served as a Trustee of prominent organizations like the California Science Center and NRDC. Currently, he is spearheading the launch of D4IR, a fund focused on sustainable investing at the forefront of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. He is a two time Presidential appointee of President Bill Clinton and was Team Lead of the Executive Office of the President’s White House Transition Team over The White House Council on Environmental Quality for President Elect Barack Obama and Vice President Elect Joe Biden.
