
Andrew (Andy) Sullivan is Chief Executive Officer of Prudential Financial, Inc. Prior to assuming his current role, Sullivan served as executive vice president and head of Prudential’s international businesses and global investment management. Previously, he was executive vice president and head of Prudential’s U.S. Businesses and president of the firm’s Group Insurance business. Before joining Prudential in 2011, Sullivan served as a senior vice president with CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, where he was accountable for the individual and senior business segments. Sullivan also held several senior leadership positions at Cigna and led merger and acquisition initiatives for health care, international and group insurance. Earlier in his career, Sullivan held management roles at Diamond Technology Partners and DaimlerChrysler. Sullivan received an executive MBA from the University of Delaware. He earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis and served as a nuclear submarine officer. He serves on the board of directors for the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS).
