Aubrey Hruby

Aubrey Hruby is a long-time advisor to investors in African markets and an investor in African start-ups. Over the last 20 years, she has worked across sectors and asset classes in 30+ African markets, facilitating over $2B in capital flows to the region. Aubrey is the co-founder of Tofino Capital. As a Senior Advisor at the Atlantic Council, she speaks and writes regularly on African business issues for the Financial Times, Foreign Policy and Axios. She has interviewed with the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, National Public Radio, Al Jazeera, Bloomberg Radio, CNBC, CCTV, and Africa24. Aubrey teaches a graduate seminar at Georgetown University and the co-author of award-winning The Next Africa (Macmillan, 2015). She earned a MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a MA from Georgetown University.
