
Deborah Kilpatrick, PhD is a Partner at Sonder Capital in CA, investing in companies transforming standards of care in Medtech and Healthtech. She is the former CEO and Chair of Evidation Health, which pioneered the use of person-generated health data in real world evidence for biopharma. Deb’s early career focused on medical devices and molecular diagnostics, including leadership roles at Guidant Corporation such as Research Fellow, Director of R&D, and Director of New Ventures prior to its acquisition by Boston Scientific. Currently, she is a board director at Jupiter Endovascular, Sleep Number, NextGen Jane, and Sutter Health—one of the nation’s largest and most innovative healthcare delivery systems providing care to millions in California. She is a Fellow of the American Institute of Medical and Biological Engineering and has been named to both the Digital Health Hall of Fame at UCSF and the College of Engineering Hall of Fame at Georgia Tech. She has appeared in the San Francisco Business Times’ 100 Most Influential Women in Business, the Silicon Valley Business Journal’s 100 Women of Influence, FierceMedicalDevice’s Top Women in Medtech, and Forbes 50 Over 50 Entrepreneurs. Deb is also the co-founder of MedtechWomen and the MedtechVision Conference, now held annually in Silicon Valley. She earned her B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in engineering from Georgia Tech.
