Diana Choyleva is a leading authority on China's economy and politics with over 25 years of experience. As Chief Economist and founder of Enodo Economics, an independent forecasting firm established in 2016, she deciphers complexity and challenges conventional wisdom to provide forward-looking insights on China and its global impact. Her expertise is showcased in four books: "Petrodollar to Digital Yuan" (2025), analyzing China's strategy to challenge dollar dominance through digital currency innovation and strategic Gulf partnerships; "China's Quest for Financial Self-reliance" (2022), examining Beijing's decoupling from dollar-based systems; "The American Phoenix" (2011), forecasting US equity market outperformance relative to China and Europe; and "The Bill from the China Shop" (2006), exploring Asia's savings glut and its threat to global financial stability. Choyleva serves as NED at JPMorgan Asia Growth and Income plc and as a non-resident Senior Fellow at Asia Society Policy Institute's Center for China Analysis. Previously, she spent 16 years at Lombard Street Research (now TS Lombard), rising to Chief Economist and Head of Research, leading the firm’s team of economists and strategists while conducting her own global analysis. After earning her Economics master's from Warwick University in 2000, she became an executive director in 2005, led the UK Service until 2009, and oversaw LSR's Asian expansion from Hong Kong (2010-2013).
