Frederico Assis is a Special Envoy at COP30. Previously, he served as an advisor for international affairs in the Presidency of Brazil. He holds a degree in International Relations and a master’s degree in Social History, both from the University of São Paulo. He was a Special Advisor to the Mayor of São Paulo, Fernando Haddad, and continued as his political advisor in the following years, including the 2018 presidential campaign. He has worked on political intelligence projects for sustainability and crisis management initiatives. He also worked on Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva’s campaign, handling public relations to combat disinformation. He is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Empresa Brasil de Comunicação (EBC).
