Mr. Harper joined the UAW Retiree Medical Benefits Trust in 2015 as the Chief Investment Officer. With more than 25 years of institutional asset management experience, he leads the Investment Office and oversees all investment activity for the $60 billion UAW Retiree Medical Benefits Trust. Prior to joining the UAW Trust, he was the CIO for the South Carolina Retirement System Investment Commission, a $30 billion pension plan, where he led the investment department, chaired the Internal Investment Committee, and directed the Strategic Partnerships. Previously, Mr. Harper worked with Evergreen Investments, Bank of America Capital Management, and State Street Global Advisors (SSgA). Mr. Harper earned his Master of Science in finance from Louisiana State University and his Bachelor of Science in finance from Louisiana Tech University. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a member of the CFA Society of West Michigan.
