
Kneeland Youngblood is Founding Partner, Chairman, and CEO of Pharos Capital Group, a private equity firm that invests in value-based healthcare focused on improving patient outcomes, lowering the cost of healthcare and creating greater access for patients. Mr. Youngblood has served in numerous roles both public and private including at the mayoral, gubernatorial, and presidential level. He was appointed by President Bill Clinton (with Senate confirmation) to the board of the United States Enrichment Corporation. The company provides low-level uranium to utilities around the world including negotiating the purchase of nuclear weapons grade uranium from the former Soviet Union. He served as gubernatorial appointee by Ann Richards and George W. Bush to the board of the Teacher Retirement System of Texas, a $200 billion pension fund for the teachers of the state of Texas. He serves on the board of California Institute of Technology (Caltech), The Milken Institute led by philanthropist and financier Michael Milken, and is the lead director for Light & Wonder, Inc., a New York Stock Exchange gaming company founded by philanthropist and financier Ronald Perelman. Finally, he was appointed by President Joe Biden to serve on the President’s Intelligence Advisory Board. Mr. Youngblood is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and graduated from Princeton University in 1978 with an A.B in Politics/Science in Human Affairs and earned an M.D. degree from the University of Texas, Southwestern Medical School in 1982.
