Lynette Bell

President, Truist Foundation

With a passion for philanthropy and three decades of experience in financial services, Lynette Bell serves as president of Truist Foundation. In this role, she spearheads strategic philanthropy investments in a wide variety of nonprofit organizations centered around two focus areas: building career pathways to economic mobility and strengthening small businesses. In 2022, Bell pioneered the Truist Foundation Inspire Awards, a celebration of bold technology and big ideas. In 2023, she introduced Where It Starts, a $22 million, multi-year initiative creating long-term change for entrepreneurs and job seekers. Previously, Bell served as enterprise community reinvestment act officer for Truist predecessor SunTrust, leading community development programs to support low- to moderate-income communities. During her SunTrust tenure, she held leadership positions in operations, regulatory affairs, bank examinations and compliance. Bell has received the Trailblazer Purpose Award from the Association of Corporate Citizenship Professionals, Spirit of Philanthropy Award from Usher's New Look, Woman of Influence recognition by the Atlanta Business Chronicle and Presidential Award-Unsung Heroine from The Coalition of 100 Black Women, Atlanta Chapter. She serves on the board of directors for Connect Humanity, Living Cities Foundation and Purpose-Built Communities. Bell is a founding member of the Carolinas Asset Funders Network and an active member of the American Bankers Association, International Women's Forum Carolinas and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
