H.E. Mariam bint Mohammed AlMheiri has been the Group CEO of 2PointZero, a global investment company, since it was launched in December 2023. The company's portfolio encompasses diverse industry leaders including such as Chimera Investments, Lunate Capital and International Resources Holding (IRH) under one transformative umbrella placing us at the forefront of those pioneering industries, fueling technological breakthroughs to shape the future. H.E. Mariam’s background in mechanical engineering and her experience in environmental and sustainability issues make her an ideal leader for 2PointZero's focus on innovation and sustainable investments. H.E. Mariam served as the UAE Minister of Climate Change and Environment from September 2021 until December 2023, where she spearheaded the United Arab Emirates' efforts to accelerate climate action, safeguard ecosystems, enhance biodiversity and strengthen food security. Her former official roles included UAE Minister of State for Food Security and Minister of State for Food and Water. H.E. Mariam is also the Head of the International Affairs Office at the Presidential Court of the UAE and is a board member at FAB Bank. She is also a board member of Modon, Abu Dhabi Fund for Development and the International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council. H.E. Mariam is also the UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs’ Envoy to Germany where her role is to manage bilateral relations between the UAE and Germany. In her role at the International Affairs Office, she also oversees the joint commitment of the UAE and Gates Foundation of $200 million to advance agricultural innovations, aimed at helping smallholder farmers in sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia adapt to climate change. H.E. Mariam Almheiri has a Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in mechanical engineering from the Rheinisch- Westfälische Technische Hochschule (RWTH) in Aachen, Germany.
