Mark Berryman

Partner, Capricorn Investment Group, LLC

Mark Berryman is a Partner and Investment Committee at Capricorn Investment Group, a $12 billion Impact investing firm and outsourced chief investment officer (OCIO). Mark has over 20 years of experience in impact investing and emerging markets finance. Prior to Capricorn, Mark was a Managing Director and member of the Investment Committee at Caprock. Mark co-led Caprock's impact and sustainable investment business and supported the management of impact-focused family and foundation clients. He is a current adjunct professor of impact investing at the Columbia University Graduate School of Business. Mark is the inaugural chair of the Impact Capital Managers Limited Partner Council and a member of the Impact Assets 50 Investment Review Committee. Before joining Caprock, Mark spent over 10 years as a Lead Investment Officer with the International Finance Corporation (IFC). While at the IFC, he was field based in Turkey, China, Mali, and Washington, DC. Mark also co-led Deutsche Bank's Global Social Investment Funds Group, which managed global structured debt funds for impact. Mark began his career as a three-year Peace Corps Volunteer in Mali, West Africa. Mark holds an MBA and a master's degree in International Affairs from Georgetown University.
