Marshall Chase

Director of Sustainability, Micron Technology

Marshall Chase is director of sustainability at Micron Technology. He is responsible for driving the integration of environmental and social issues into Micron’s business strategy and operations, and leads the company’s engagement with investors, customers, and others on many of these issues. Prior to joining Micron, Mr. Chase served as manufacturing industry practice leader at leading global sustainability consultancy BSR, where he worked closely with Micron to advance the company’s sustainability strategy and reporting. He has also run environmental programs for major real estate firms, led development strategy at the American Chamber of Commerce in Armenia, and served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the country of Togo. Mr. Chase earned master’s degrees in business administration and natural resources through the University of Michigan’s Erb Institute for Global Sustainable Enterprise, and a bachelor’s degree in government and environmental policy from Dartmouth College. He is a frequent speaker on corporate sustainability issues and is a member of the Sustainability Reference Group of the IFRS Foundation’s International Sustainability Standards Board.
