
Matt Miller joined Bayview in 2012 to head all securities investing for the firm, and his responsibilities have since expanded to also include overseeing the firm's residential mortgage investing, research capabilities, and capital markets activities. At Bayview, Matt’s residential mortgage team invests across the spectrum of agency and non-agency residential loans, including scratch and dent, reperforming, second lien, and HELOCs. In structured products, his team invests across a broad range of securities, including legacy RMBS, credit risk transfer securities, CMBS, CLOs, as well as mortgage-related equities. Prior to joining Bayview, Matt worked in securitized products at Barclays Capital for four years, where he managed traders responsible for residential whole loan trading, commercial mortgage-backed securities trading, and asset-backed securities trading. Prior to Barclays, Matt worked in the mortgage department at Lehman Brothers for 11 years. Matt graduated from Dartmouth College as a triple major in Economics, Mathematics, and Biophysical Chemistry.
