Michelle Petock

CEO, W Greig & Company

Michelle Petock is the Chief Executive Officer of W Greig & Company, a single-family office that invests globally in public and private markets. In addition to oversight of the firm as a whole, Michelle is responsible for sourcing investment opportunities, allocating capital, and managing an investment portfolio of private equity, private credit, real estate, sports franchises, venture, and natural resources. W Greig & Company’s investment strategy involves investing in, and with, outstanding female leaders. Our allocation to public markets is managed by our internal hedge fund, where a primary selection criterion for our securities portfolios is that the issuer has a female CEO or equivalent leader. Michelle has 25 years of investment management, hedge fund, investment banking, tax structuring and legal experience in both the U.S. and the U.K. She previously served as the Chief Operating Officer of Datum 9 Analytics, an investment management firm trading hedge fund portfolios of global equities. She also worked at Morgan Stanley and Citigroup, where she was a trader on the Global Structured Products and the Global Capital Structuring desks. A corporate tax lawyer by training, Michelle began her career practicing law in the tax group at Shearman & Sterling LLP, where she focused on the taxation of financial products and structured finance. Michelle earned a bachelor’s degree, cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania, a J.D., summa cum laude, from The George Washington University Law School, and an L.L.M. in tax from The Georgetown University Law Center.
