Ramon Escobar

Managing Director, Actum

Ramon heads up the geopolitical practice at Actum, a global strategic consultancy, advising clients on how to navigate markets where industrial and national security policies increasingly impact business decisions. Prior to Actum, Ramon was Senior Director for Western Hemisphere Strategy at the White House National Security Council, where he led bipartisan initiatives that mobilized public resources and private capital to strategic sectors, including infrastructure, critical minerals, semiconductors, clean energy, medical supplies, entrepreneurship, and innovative technologies. Ramon's two-decade career at the State Department spanned four U.S. Administrations (Bush, Obama, Trump, Biden) and included assignments in the Middle East, Europe, and Latin America. Most recently, Ramon served in the U.S. Embassy in Mexico under the leadership of Ambassador Chris Landau. Ramon holds a dual Masters in International Affairs from Columbia University and Sciences Po (Paris), and Bachelors in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
