Goodwin is the Founder and Chairman of Gaw Capital Partners, a real estate private equity fund management company that focuses on high barrier to entry markets globally. Gaw Capital has raised seven commingled funds since 2005. The firm manages value-add/opportunistic funds in Vietnam and the US, a Pan-Asia hospitality fund, a European hospitality fund, a Growth Equity fund, and provides services for credit investments and separate account direct investments globally. Gaw Capital Partners has raised equity in excess of USD$22 billion as of 2022 Q3 and commands assets of over USD$33.6 billion under management encompassing residential developments, retail centers, hotels, commercial, IDC and logistic properties. Goodwin received “Asia Industry Figure of the Year” in 2013, 2015 and 2018 by PERE, “Entrepreneur of the Year” in 2020 by Ernst & Young, and “Urban Visionary Award” from Asia Society in 2019. Goodwin is a member of ULI’s Global Board, Citi Private Bank Global Advisory Board, and Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO). Goodwin sits on the Board of Overseers of the School of Engineering and Applied Science in the University of Pennsylvania and the board of Lawrenceville School.
