Alvaro Bustos is an entrepreneur and founding partner of Vaquero Trading, one of the main suppliers of Mexican cattle to the United States. Mr. Bustos currently serves as Chairman of the Union Ganadera Regional de Chihuahua UGRCH (Chihuahua Cattlemens Association) and as president of Consejo Empresarial Mexicano de Comercio Exterior, Inversion Y Tecnologia A.C. (COMCE) Chihuahua; a board member in the regional technology fund of SABA Investment; Vice President member in Bancomext-Nafinsa Chihuahua; active board member and director in the Texas Cattle Feeders Association (TCFA) and also as a member in Young Presidents Organization (YPO). Bustos has a degree in Economics with a specialty in Econometrics from the Technological Institute of Higher Studies of Monterrey (ITESM). He has completed the Executive Management Program (AD2) at the Pan American Institute for Senior Business Management (IPADE) in Mexico and the Owners President Management (OPM48) program at Harvard Business School. He participated as a finalist in the Ernst & Young (EY) Entrepreneur of the Year Mexico 2018 award. Vaquero Trading was named for a second consecutive year in INC 5000 fastest growing companies in the US 2021.
