Gabriela is a consultant and strategic advisor to private and public institutions and fintech companies involved in inclusive finance, financial health, and MSE resilience in Latin America. She is engaged in projects and policy discussions to address the challenges of serving low-income populations, women, and micro and small enterprises (MSEs) with relevant financial products and digital tools. Her work aims to improve financial health, build MSE resilience, and promote approaches that make the financial sector more inclusive and accessible for women. She has published several documents and blogs on these topics. Previously, she was Senior Program Officer at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and Director of Promotion of Financial Organizations at the Ministry of Agriculture in Mexico. Currently, she consults for BFA Global, CGAP/World Bank Group, the Office of the UNSGSA, and Fundación MetLife. She is a member of Tuiio-Santander’s Administrative Board, Tec de Monterrey’s FAIR Center’s advisory board, and México Exponencial’s Digital Finance Advisory Board. She is also a participant in the Financial Innovation Group chaired by the Ministry of Finance. Gabriela holds a master's degree from Cornell.
