Máximo Vedoya is the CEO of Ternium, a leading steel company in the Americas. Vedoya is also President of the Industry and Transformation Chamber (Caintra) of Nuevo León, México; member of the Executive Committee of the Latin American Steel Association (Alacero); Vice-president of the Mexican Iron & Steel Industry Chamber (Canacero); member of the Executive Commission and President of the SME Commission of the Mexican Business Coordinating Council (CCE); and member of the Executive Council and President of the Engineering Committee at the University of Monterrey (UDEM). His prior roles include Chairman of the Economics Committee at the World Steel Association (worldsteel) and President of Alacero and Canacero. Born in Argentina in 1970, Vedoya holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires (ITBA) and a Master of Science in Management from Stanford University. Since 1992, Vedoya’s key positions have included Planning, Sales, Exports and Commercial Director in Ternium companies in Argentina and Venezuela. In 2010, he became Executive President of the Andean Region, in 2012, Executive President of Ternium Mexico, and in 2018, CEO of Ternium.
