Peter Toal is a Managing Director and Head of Global Fixed Income Syndicate at Barclays. Peter currently oversees the Investment Grade, Securitization, High Yield Bond and Leveraged Loan Syndicate teams globally, with team members in New York, London, Paris, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Singapore. Peter also oversees the front-office Loan Agency business for Barclays Investment Bank. Peter serves on Barclays Global Investment Bank Distribution Committee and the Firm’s Global Leveraged Finance Screening Committee. Peter has over 30 years of experience in Banking and Leverage Finance, helping clients raise billions of dollars across various industries, geographies, products and currencies.Peter is the Senior Sponsor for the Firm’s Reach Disability Network in the US and founded the Mental Health Awareness Group in the US. He also is a Be Well Ambassador for Barclays’ Investment Banking Department globally.  Prior to joining Barclays, Peter was a Managing Director with Lehman Brothers and served as Head of US High Yield Syndicate and was a member of Lehman Brothers’ High Yield Commitment Committee. Prior to joining Lehman Brothers, Peter worked at Kidder, Peabody & Co., Inc. where he worked in Leveraged Finance, High Yield Capital Markets and Private Placements. Peter began his career at Drexel Burnham Lambert, Inc. Peter graduated from Georgetown University with a BA degree in Economics.
