Thomas J. Barrack, Jr. is the Executive Chairman and CEO of Colony Capital, Inc. (NYSE: CLNY). CLNY is one of the largest diversified real estate and investment management leaders in the world. Prior to founding the Colony business, Tom was a principal with the Robert M. Bass Group, the principal investment vehicle of the Fort Worth, Texas, investor Robert M. Bass. He also served in the Reagan administration as deputy undersecretary of the Department of the Interior. In 2017, Tom served as the Chairman of the 58th Presidential Inaugural Committee. In 2010, French president Nicolas Sarkozy knighted him as a Chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur, the highest award bestowed by the French government for citizens and foreigners. Tom received his B.A. from USC and earned his J.D. from University of San Diego.
