Yasutoshi Nishimura is the Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretary of the Cabinet Office of Japan, and has been a Member of the House of Representatives since 2003. His fields of specialty and interest include economic and budgetary policy, technology development policy, energy policy, and strategic foreign policy. Prior to his current role, Mr. Nishimura served as Special Adviser and Chief Deputy Secretary General under the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP). Before that, he was Secretary General in Headquarters for Promoting Dynamic Engagement of All Citizens, and Executive Director, also under the LDP. Mr. Nishimura holds a LLB from Tokyo University, and is a graduate from the Graduate School of Public Affairs at the University of Maryland.
