As an entrepreneur, he founded, self-funded, and exited three companies. Cognilytics, one of the first companies to focus on AI, ML, and Big Data, was acquired by CenturyLink. Systech, acquired by ACS/Xerox, and Softline, ranked by Entrepreneur Magazine as the second fastest-growing company in the U.S., was one of the first companies to create a pure-play ASP model for enterprises, was acquired by KPMG to form a JV with Qwest. Gary is a supporter of several charities, including El's for Autism, GenYouth Foundation, and the Special Olympics. When offline, he enjoys playing golf and powerlifting. His passion for fine food and wine led him to invest in Michelin Starred restaurants in San Francisco and LA Saison and Angler.
