Noora Salim Alakhzami is a psychologist working at Whispers of Serenity Clinic. Her clinical experience varies from working with children on the autistic spectrum to adults with psychosis and substance misuse and adults with ‘personality disorder’. During her time working for the NHS in the UK, she facilitated group therapy sessions and co-facilitated support groups for carers of people with ‘personality disorder’. After moving to Oman, she ran individual and group therapy sessions for children, teenagers and adults. She regularly contributed to ‘Not Alone’ campaign to raise awareness on mental health. She also ran various talks and workshops on stress management. She recently gave a talk at the 1st Gulf Autism Conference last month on the effect of having a child with ASD on parents/carers’ mental health.
