Founder of Africa Yoga Project, Ashoka Fellow, Muhammad Ali Humanitarian Global Citizen 2017 award recipient and published author, Paige lives and breathes the life of a wellbeing social entrepreneur. A former Wall Street consultant, Paige has been working on systems change and democratising well-being in Africa for almost two decades. Founded by Paige Elenson 12 years ago, Africa Yoga Project programs offer tools for physical and mental health to over 250,000 students per year, in 22 African countries. Since 2018, Paige has been consulting on creating lululemon’s Yoga in Factories program, which intends to bring tools for yoga and mindfulness into the clothing manufacture’s supply chain. Paige has also co-authored two published articles on trauma informed yoga interventions in sub-saharan Africa. Working alongside both private and public partnerships such as UNICEF, lululemon, Laureus Sport for Good, Comic Relief and Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move Initiative, Paige advocates unique opportunities for wellbeing for all.
