Fatma Yehia is an enthusiastic senior financial analyst at the monetary policy implementation department, at the Central Bank of Egypt. She is responsible for the follow-up of the operational target of monetary policy, and to monitor that the transmission of MPC decisions is efficiently and timely reflected in the market.She contributes to several development projects in money and capital markets; such as CONIA (Cairo Overnight Index Average benchmark), ECSD (Egyptian Central Securities Depositary) and IRS (Interest Rate Swaps). Moreover, She Worked on the development of a new advanced Yield Curve model for the Egyptian government securities to represent longer tenors. Her research paper “Banking sector role in a Green economy" was awarded the 1st place by the Egyptian Banking Institute and published in the Arab media group.She interned at the World bank in the department of long-term finance supporting mainly sustainable finance programs. She participated in developing the Egypt green finance program, including capacity building material, the financial sector background to Jordan CCDR (Country Climate and Development report), Global taxonomies summary, Costa Rica FSAP (Financial Sector Assessment Program), and OTC trading mechanisms. She finished a diploma in Capital Markets at the George Washington University in June 2022 and a Bachelor of B.A. (major finance, minor: math) from The American University, Cairo with high honors.
