Chief Operating Officer, 6529 NFT Fund and 6529 Capital; Principal, Bandman Advisors

Jeff Bandman is COO of 6529 NFT Fund & 6529 Capital which focus on asset management in the NFT space. 6529 is among the world’s foremost thought leaders in the NFT space and a leading advocate of the "open metaverse" - namely that the architecture of the metaverse should be decentralized and interoperable and that NFTs could serve in this role. Jeff also leads Bandman Advisors, an advisory practice helping clients ranging from governments to global firms to start-ups meet strategic innovation and regulatory challenges. He advises and trains regulators and is co-Founder of the GBBC Digital Finance policy initiative and leads the GDF Regulator Forum. Previously, Jeff was a senior official at the U.S. CFTC, Special Counsel to Chairman Tim Massad, & FinTech Advisor to Chairman Chris Giancarlo. Jeff is known as the architect and founding director of LabCFTC & led CFTC digital asset and blockchain work starting 2015. Jeff led the CFTC Division of Clearing and Risk, overseeing many of the world’s largest clearinghouses, & led the Office of International Affairs. He led negotiations resulting in “Clearinghouse Equivalence” with the European Commission. Jeff rebuilt and ran Cantor Fitzgerald’s market data business after the events of September 11. Mr. Bandman started his career at Cravath, Swaine & Moore in New York after clerking on the US 9th Circuit. He graduated from Yale magna cum laude, with honors in History and English. His law degree is from Stanford Law School, with honors as a member of “Order of the Coif." He is a 6-time Jeopardy champion.
