Dr. Patrice Motsepe is a global entrepreneur and philanthropist. He has business interests globally in mining, financial services and banking, renewable energy, technology, telecommunications, sports and entertainment, agriculture and farming, real estate and health. In 2017 Forbes Magazine commemorated its 100th Anniversary and honored Dr. Motsepe as one of the “100 Greatest Living Business Minds” in the world alongside Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Jack Ma, Mike Milken and other global entrepreneurs. In January 2013 Dr. Motsepe and his wife, Dr. Precious Moloi-Motsepe joined the Giving Pledge which was started by Warren Buffett and Bill and Melinda Gates. Dr. Motsepe and his wife committed to give half of their wealth to the poor and for philanthropic purposes during their lifetime and beyond. Dr. Motsepe is a member of the Harvard Global Advisory Council and was previously a member of the JP Morgan International Council. He is the president of Football in Africa (CAF) and vice president of FIFA. Dr Motsepe was a partner in one of the largest law firms in Africa, Bowmans and was a visiting attorney in the USA with the law firm, McGuireWoods. He is the recipient of several honorary doctorates.
