Brian Frank is the Founder and Managing Partner at Declaration Partners, an investment firm with an anchor investment from the family office of David M. Rubenstein. He is also a Founding Advisor of BayPine, an investment firm focused on buying controlling interests in quality non-tech businesses and pushing them to embrace digital potential. Before founding Declaration, Mr. Frank was a Partner and Portfolio Manager at MSD Partners, where he invested in private and public companies in the energy and industrials sectors. Prior to MSD Partners, Mr. Frank was a Partner and Portfolio Manager at Cumberland Associates, where he oversaw investments in aerospace and defense, energy, industrials and transportation companies. Mr. Frank began his career as an M&A analyst at Lazard Freres and then led growth/venture investing at W.R. Hambrecht + Co. before gaining valuable operational experience as a Director of Strategy and Corporate Development of Harman International, a Fortune 500 developer of audio and automotive infotainment systems. Mr. Frank currently serves as a board member of ConcertAI, Redesign Health, Vault Health, and StubHub Holdings as well as a Board Observer at aXiomatic and Enstructure. He is a life member of the Council on Foreign Relations, a member of the Rockefeller University Council, a member of the Harvard Committee on University Resources, A Member of the Middle East Security Advisory Board at the Center for a New American Security, and a member of the Contemporary Arts Council at the Museum of Modern Art. He attended Harvard College (AB, 1995) where he graduated magna cum laude and Harvard Business School (MBA, 1999).
