Jen Horonjeff, Ph.D., is the Founder and CEO of Savvy Cooperative, a patient-owned co-op that helps companies and innovators connect with patients in order to get the patient/consumer insights they need to build better healthcare solutions. As a co-op, Savvy challenges traditional models by making patients collectively the co-owners. Jen is deeply committed to co-creation in healthcare, as she has an intimate knowledge of both sides. She grew up with several autoimmune diseases and earned her Ph.D. in Environmental Medicine at New York University. Jen is trained as both a healthcare researcher and human factors consultant and continues to serve as a patient-centered outcomes researcher at Columbia University Medical Center. Jen utilizes her unique perspective to champion patient engagement in research and industry around the globe and serves as a patient/consumer representative on numerous projects, committees, and advisory boards for the FDA, professional societies, and patient advocacy organizations. She strives to give patients a platform to have their voices and expertise be heard, valued, and included. Jen firmly believes that the future of healthcare is co-designed with patients.
