Jen Tolentino

Director, Local Practice, Results for America

Jen Tolentino is the Director of Intergovernmental Initiatives at Results for America, leading the American Rescue Plan Initiative and coordinating intergovernmental recovery response. Most recently she was the Director of the Los Angeles Mayor’s Office Innovation Team (i-team) – a multidisciplinary team of data scientists, human-centered designers, and project managers tasked with generating and accelerating bold ideas. In that role, Jen supported the City’s data-driven response to the COVID-19 pandemic, delivered several projects for Los Angeles Homelessness Services Authority to enhance decision-making and proactive analysis, and helped Los Angeles achieve platinum certification by What Works Cities. Prior to serving in the Los Angeles Mayor’s Office, Jen was the Vice President of Impact and Innovation at Rock the Vote, where she directed the civic technology and policy teams, bringing together government officials and voting rights advocates to modernize elections and engagement. She also has served as an advisor for national data standards, led national government outreach for the Voting Information Project at the Pew Charitable Trusts, and supported federal research and advocacy work at the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Jen is based in Los Angeles and a native Angeleno, receiving her BA in English from UC Riverside, and her Master’s in Public Policy from UCLA’s Luskin School of Public Affairs.
