Ed Garden is Chief Investment Officer and a Founding Partner of Trian Fund Management, L.P. Mr. Garden is a director of General Electric, where he is a member of the Finance & Capital Allocation Committee and Management Development & Compensation Committee, and The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation, where he is Chairman of the Human Resources and Compensation Committee and is a member of the Finance Committee and Risk Committee. Mr. Garden previously served as a director of The Wendy's Company, Family Dollar Stores, Inc. and Pentair plc. In October 2014, Mr. Garden was named to CNBC's Next List, composed of 100 next generation trailblazers expected to change the face of business over the next 25 years. Previously, Mr. Garden served as Vice Chairman and a director of Triarc Companies, Inc., where he was also head of corporate development. Prior to joining Triarc, Mr. Garden was a Managing Director of Credit Suisse First Boston, where he served as a senior investment banker and BT Alex Brown, where he was co-head of Equity Capital Markets.
