Dr. Chen is a managing partner at Softbank Vision Fund. Prior to joining Softbank, he has been a technology entrepreneur and investor throughout his career. He co-founded and led Silver Lake Asia for a number of years, and co-founded and ran several technology startup companies. He has a Ph.D. from Stanford University and studied physics at Peking University. He is an independent board member of Applied Materials. He is also a co-founder of Future Forum, a non-profit organization aiming at promoting science in China
