Rick Berke is co-founder and editor of STAT, a media company with reporters around the country and in Asia covering health, medicine and life sciences. He was previously a longtime reporter and editor at the New York Times. He was chief political correspondent there for more than a decade, and before that covered beats including Congress, the White House, media, and national drug policy. In his roles as an editor, he served two tours as an assistant managing editor, and was also Washington editor, national editor, political editor, and video content editor. Before coming to Boston to launch STAT, he was executive editor of Politico. He was also a visiting lecturer at Harvard University.
