Edward Greissing is the president and CEO of Greissing Strategic Advisors LLC, a strategic advisory group focused on delivering value to boards of directors, management teams, and stakeholder organizations by aligning business plans to solve commercial needs and the evolving public interest. For industry, patient and disease groups, think tanks, and programmatic work, he identifies and catalyzes sustainable and scalable practices and policies designed to build healthier lives.

He serves on the Board of Directors for the following organizations: Emergex U.S., the Gregorian University Foundation, a Jesuit Think Tank for the Vatican, the Children's Inn at NIH, and the Advisory Boards for Roots Food Group, the Milken Institute's Center for Public Health, and the Milken Institute School for Public Health at George Washington University. Mr. Greissing previously served on the Advanced Human Imaging Board (Nasdaq- AHI) and Chimerix (Nasdaq-CMRX), where he Chaired the Governance and Compensation Committees and served on the Audit Committee for AHI.

Mr. Greissing previously served as a member of the Executive Committee, Global Leadership Team, and Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs at Sanofi. He led Global Government Affairs and Policy for Pharmacia and the Upjohn Company. He delivered large and small company leadership, strategic guidance, a fresh tactical approach to preparing the market for new product launches and addressing complicated intellectual property issues, and life cycle management, and offered a vision for the future of health in a rapidly changing regulatory and legislative environment.

He earned a reputation for creating energizing and engaging work environments built on trust and respect for high-performing teams. This strategic approach and operational execution to stakeholder management resulted in improved patient outcomes, positive business results, increased shareholder value, and earned a reputation as a desired and trusted business partner. In 2014, Sanofi recognized Mr. Greissing for identifying and developing employees and was awarded the Talent Champion Award.

In 1989, he co-founded Research!America and the FDA Council, leading to collaborations between academia and industry and increased public-private partnerships. In 2011, the NIH presented him with the "Caring for Children" Award, and in 2014, his team was presented with the Corporate Hero Award by the Alliance for a Healthier Generation and the Clinton Foundation. In 2015, Mr. Greissing received the American Cancer Society Donald H. Gemson Cancer Prevention Award for Public Policy Achievement, Innovation, Leadership, and Excellence.

He retired as the Executive Director of the Center for Public Health at the Milken Institute in 2020. His experience and thought leadership in addressing national and global health needs allowed him to advance innovative programs and offer creative, collaborative, and sustainable solutions to our time's most pressing health issues.

Today, Mr. Greissing collaborates with diverse businesses, global organizations, patient groups, physician organizations, academic thought leaders, and other interested parties to address global health concerns. He promotes public-private partnerships focusing on prevention, early detection, treatment, technology, telehealth, and education programs to reduce the health and economic burden of disease. His initiatives address the Covid pandemic, health emergencies, and programs focused on gene therapy, rare diseases, oncology, antibiotic resistance, health disparities, social determinants, women's health, mental health, diabetes, obesity, the microbiome and gut health, addiction, stigma, nutrition, fitness, and other chronic illnesses.

Before entering the industry in 1978, Mr. Greissing was on the U.S. Senate Intelligence Committee staff. He held a Top Security Clearance and co-authored and contributed to various investigations and reports, including The Assassination of President John F. Kennedy. He served in the United States Army as a military policeman assigned to the Honor Detail at Fort Myer and Arlington Cemetery. He supported the Honor Guard with military ceremonies, including those at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Mr. Greissing earned an A.B. in History from The College of the Holy Cross and an M.A. in Congressional Studies and Politics from The Catholic University of America.
