With over a decade at the Milken Institute, Teresa Whang exemplifies leadership in event planning, VIP relations, and fostering meaningful relationships. As the senior director of strategic initiatives for Milken Institute International, Whang is focused on championing global expansion efforts by identifying ways to build partnerships within the organization, match new opportunities for collaboration with external partners, and customizing meaningful experiences at Milken Institute events.

Whang's journey at the Milken Institute began over 12 years ago, showcasing her commitment and growth within the organization. She most recently served as director of events and speaker relations, a team she established and built as a key function to oversee the thousands of speakers who are featured at Milken Institute events.

Prior to the Institute, Whang first entered the nonprofit world at Mount St. Mary’s University, working under Institutional Advancement on fundraising, alumni relations and event management. Her educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Physiological Sciences from the University of California, Los Angeles.
