Colin Jones is the Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Outerlands Capital, an innovative digital asset manager built on world-class experience in blockchain development and institutional finance. Prior to Outerlands, Jones was head of strategic investments at Horizen Labs, a blockchain technology company securing the world’s transition to Web3. Before Horizen Labs, Jones spent over a decade in higher education as a finance professor, most recently at the University of Notre Dame where he served as an associate teaching professor and faculty director for the Notre Dame Institute for Global Investing. Prior to his academic career, he spent time in startups, venture capital, and economic development. Jones holds a PhD in finance from Penn State University, an MBA from William & Mary, and a BBA from New Mexico State University.
