Matt Cameron
Head of Policy and Regulatory Affairs at Remitly Global, Inc. Matt Cameron leads Remitly's public policy and government affairs work. Remilty is a trusted provider of digital financial services that transcend borders. Prior to joining Remitly, Matt was a Manager of Public Policy at Amazon where he worked on public policy issues involving payments, regulation, and innovation. Before Amazon, Matt was the Head of Financial Services Policy at fintech startup, Notarize where he advocated for solutions that advanced digitization in financial services. Matt has spent over a decade in the executive and legislative branches of the U.S. government. He served for over nine years at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) in various leadership roles and ended his time as the CFPB’s Assistant Director for the Office of Stakeholder Management. Before the CFPB, Matt served in the personal office of a senior member of Congress from California and began his career as an intern to a U.S. Senator from New York. Matt received his master’s degree in political management from George Washington University and his bachelor’s degree in political science from California State University Channel Islands.
