Rachel Fox Smothermon is a senior associate at the Milken Institute and a member of the Geo-Economics Initiative. Her role includes work on supply-chain resilience focusing on the nexus of human rights and environmental impacts, as well as navigating the future of emerging technology and AI. In previous roles, she has focused on international human rights at the U.S. Department of State through managing grants and research to combat international human trafficking and has held multiple roles in public policy research. She earned an MPhil in international development studies from the University of Cambridge.
