Stories that Connect Us: 33 Years of the Milken Scholars Program

The Milken Scholars Program was founded in 1989 by Lori and Michael Milken to honor exceptional young people on the basis of their scholarship, leadership, service, and character. Thirty-three years later, the program—now a partnership between the Milken Family Foundation and the Milken Institute—includes more than 520 highly talented scholars and alumni making an impact in fields including medicine, education, finance, engineering, public service, media, and entertainment, among others. Selected as seniors in high school, Milken Scholars are awarded an academic scholarship and invited to join a lifelong community that supports them through college and into their careers. What is the impact of the scholarships? What is the impact of the work that they catalyze? How can we continue to invest in the scholars and stories that connect us and inspire impact? Join us with four Milken Alumni Scholars for a conversation on the power of connection.
