Global Conference 2022

DEI in Asset Management Stakeholders (Invite only)

The demand for women and under presented groups in the institutional investment industry has only accelerated within the past two and a half years. Investing in the American Dream for All is predicated on equitable representation within asset management and among its' decision makers. Less than 1 percent of the $80 trillion in US assets under management are managed by women and black or indigenous people of color (BIPOC). Further, the state of inclusion in the greater universe of asset management is not much different; less than 20 percent and 5 percent of industry professionals are women or BIPOC. The broader trend matters for all; companies in the top quartile for racial and ethnic diversity are 35 percent more likely to have financial returns above their respective national industry medians. In this intimate session, attendees will discuss how public and private stakeholders can address challenges and enable solutions that ensure high-performing and diverse emerging asset managers are valued and seamlessly considered by institutional investors and that diverse investment professionals are valuably included across all levels of top investment firms.
