
Eric P. Epstein
Eric Epstein is vice chairman at Davidson Kempner. He joined the firm in 2000 and is based in the New York office. Before joining Davidson Kempner, Epstein was a managing director at M.D. Sass Investors Services, where he oversaw the US sales and marketing. From February 1995 to December 1998, he was managing partner of EJ Advisors LLC, a middle-market investment banking advisory firm in Atlanta. From March 1993 to January 1995, he served as vice president of Bear Stearns Inc. in New York City, where he worked in the Asset Management and Financial Services Groups. From January 1991 to February 1993, Epstein was the director of marketing and a portfolio manager for the Asset Management Division of C.J. Lawrence, Deutsche Bank.
Epstein received an MS from the New York University Schack Institute of Real Estate in 1990 and a BA in economics from Clark University in 1989. He is chair of the investment committee and a trustee of Clark University. He is also a member of the board of the Managed Funds Association, the Board of Trustees of Oliver Scholars, and the finance committee and investment committee of The Dwight-Englewood School.
