Nadia Penrod is a senior associate on the Science Philanthropy Accelerator for Research and Collaboration (SPARC) team at the Milken Institute. In this role, she leverages her expertise as an interdisciplinary scientist in biomedicine and informatics to identify high-impact opportunities for philanthropic investment that promote science for the public good and have the potential to transform health. Prior to joining the Institute, she worked as an academic scientist building a diverse research portfolio across the fields of cancer genomics, molecular pharmacology, and mind-body medicine and as a science writer covering topics in sustainable agriculture and food for health. She holds a PhD in experimental and molecular medicine from the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College and a BS in biochemistry from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She is based in the Milken Institute’s Washington, DC office.
