Priyanka Shah

Priyanka Shah is the associate director of the Milken Institute Future of Aging, which advances healthy longevity and financial security for all through a life-course perspective on aging and longevity. Her work focuses on researching, evaluating, and building awareness for evidence-based, multisectoral policies and programs that focus on caregiving and promoting prevention and wellness for longer, healthier lives. She also conducts research, advocacy, and coalition-building for the Institute’s Alliance to Improve Dementia Care.

Prior to joining the Institute, she worked at Tiber Creek Group, a bipartisan government relations firm in Washington, DC, where she played a critical role in keeping clients informed of day-to-day policy developments, providing legislative and regulatory updates, working on in-depth research projects, and advancing the public policy goals and priorities of clients. She handled a wide-ranging policy portfolio, including issues related to health care, labor, technology, and education, in addition to coordinating the firm’s research department. Shah began her career as a health policy analyst at the Maryland Department of Health in Baltimore, where she developed expertise in population health improvement, delivery system reform, and program and policy development and implementation. She has also worked for nonprofit, nonpartisan advocacy organizations such as Trust for America’s Health and the Maryland Women’s Coalition for Health Care Reform.

Shah holds a master of public health from George Washington University with a concentration in health policy. She also received her bachelor of science in kinesiology and public health from the University of Maryland, College Park.
