Diane Ty

Diane Ty is the managing director of the Milken Institute Future of Aging team, overseeing its work at the intersection of healthy longevity and financial security. She leads its Alliance to Improve Dementia Care and other multisector programmatic efforts that promote policy, practice, and systems change in a life course approach to aging. Ty is a senior advisor at Georgetown University’s Business for Impact at the McDonough School of Business, where she previously led multiple consulting engagements in health and financial security and was the founding director for its AgingWell Hub and Portion Balance Coalition. Ty began her career at American Express Company, spending a decade in several marketing positions, including vice president of corporate card marketing. She shifted to the nonprofit sector with executive roles at Save the Children leading their Millennial-focused work and orchestrating the Effie-winner and Emmy-nominated Ad Council campaign “Do Good: Mentor A Child.” At AARP, she led the development of its Social Security and retirement calculators and spearheaded its under-50/millennial work, earning a gold-level IDEA award in design strategy. Ty earned her BA from Duke University and was a Lauder Institute fellow at the University of Pennsylvania, earning an MBA from the Wharton School and an MA from the School of Arts and Sciences. She is on the board of Capital Caring Health and a gubernatorial appointee on the Maryland State Commission on Aging.
