Lena Flaum
Lena Flaum is a senior associate on the public health team at Milken Institute Health. As a communications liaison, she leads various project-related writing and editing to amplify the team’s work across its three focus areas of mental health, prevention and chronic disease, and health equity. She previously supported the mental health-focused programmatic work, including projects where she collaborated with colleagues from the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), and Leidos to raise awareness among employers and advance efforts to address the addiction and mental health crises. In addition to her love for writing, Flaum's professional experience includes working in human resources in both the biopharmaceutical and staffing industries, and building and maintaining business relationships during her years as a sales professional. Flaum is fluent in French and holds a bachelor’s degree from McGill University in Montreal, where she studied political science and translation.
