The Milken Institute is a knowledge partner of the Women 20 (W20) Saudi Arabia, which commissioned this report in December 2019. The report, by authors Claude Lopez and Oscar Contreras, draws on the Milken Institute and W20 Saudi Arabia’s assessment of the policy impact of the W20 on G20 recommendations.
The W20 was created, first, to provide policy recommendations to the G20 on gender equality issues and, second, to set actionable goals and develop appropriate metrics to improve accountability in measuring progress. Over the last five years, the W20's recommendations have focused on three main pillars: labor inclusion, financial inclusion, and digital inclusion.
